Ganesh Chaturthi 2019 How to Celebrate? 

Ganesh Chaturthi, in Hinduism festival marking the birth of this elephant-headed deity Ganesha, the god of wisdom and prosperity. It starts on the fourth afternoon (Chaturthi) of the month of Bhadrapada (August–September), the sixth month of the Hindu calendar.

What is Ganesh Chaturthi?

At the start of the festival, idols of Ganesha are put on elevated platforms in homes or elaborately decorated outdoor tents. The worship begins a ritual to invoke life in the idols, with the pranapratishtha, followed by shhodashopachara, or the 16 methods for paying tribute.

Amid the chanting of hymns from spiritual texts such as the Ganesh Upanishad, the idols are anointed with red paste and yellow and red flowers. Ganesha can be provided coconut, jaggery, and 21 modaks (sweet dumplings), regarded as Ganesha’s favorite food.
At the close of the festival, the idols are carried to local rivers in enormous processions accompanied by drumbeats, devotional singing, and dancing.

There they’re immersed, a ritual representing Ganesha’s homeward journey to Mount Kailas–the abode of his parents, Shiva and Parvati. Once the British forbidden political assemblies, the nationalist chief Bal Gangadhar Tilak revived the festival. The festival is famous in Hindu communities and is particularly well known in Maharashtra and parts of western India.

How to Celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi 2019?

Ganesh Chaturthi is considered an important festival in the region of Maharashtra and is celebrated for seven to ten times when the whole state is decorated with lights. In Mumbai, on the first day of this festival, the Pooja begins with all the idol being retained within a pedestal that symbolizes a throne.

The most prominent immersion takes place on Chowpatti Beach, situated at a distance of 1km from Marine Drive. During the immersion, enormous crowds flock the shore to watch the expansive Visarjan. These processions begin in the morning and last until late at night. Along with these, there are celebrations. Many community pujas or celebrations will also be held in almost every locality of the city.

Rituals of Ganesh Chaturthi

A priest performing the rituals and Puja specializing in the idol follows this. Then, he dips the idol in water that is sacred.

Modak, a candy made of sweetened rice and coconut flour, is subsequently offered to the deity along with incense and flowers. For the rest of the days, the idol of worshipped with Ganesh Stuti and devotional songs in the evening and afternoon. People put in idols of Lord Ganesh inside their houses.

It is thought that god returns to his celestial abode after ten days of Ganesh Chaturthi parties. The town witnesses excellent vigor and excitement for its farewell procession in which the idol of Lord Ganesha is carried from the devotees. A lot of singers, dancers, acrobats, priests, and various onlookers accompanies the procession.

Sweets, coconuts, flowers, and Aarti are provided to the idol prior to immersion in the Arabian Sea. This ritual is known as Ganesh Visarjan’ and also the immersion of Lord Ganesha and the procession flock the road together with the sinking,’Ganapati Bappa Morya’ (famous slogan praising Lord Ganesha).

Names of Ganesh Chaturthi

Ganesh Chaturthi is known by different names. In north India Ganesh Chaturthi (Hindi: गणेश चतुर्थी, Gujarati: ગણેશ ચતુર્થી, ) is popular, in Maharashtra the festival is also known as Ganeshotsav (Marathi: गणेशोत्सव). In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the name Vinayaka Chavithi (Telugu: వినాయక చవితి) and in Tamil Nadu Vinayaka Chaturthi (Tamil: விநாயக சதுர்த்தி) is popular. Whatever be the name, the spirit and enthusiasm of Ganesh Chaturthi remain the same throughout the country.

History Behind Ganesh Chaturthi

The origin of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival in Mumbai is traced right back to Shivaji, the Maratha ruler. It was he who pioneered the festival to instill nationalistic feelings and promote cultural harmony in his subjects.

Shirdi Shri Sai Baba Images Sai Baba is, also called Sai Baba of Shirdi, born 1838 died on October 15, 1918.

The name Sai Baba comes from sai, a Persian word used by Muslims to denote a holy person, and baba, Hindi for father.

Sai Baba’s early years are a mystery. Most accounts mention his birth as a Hindu Brahman and his subsequent adoption by a Sufi fakir, or mendicant. Later in life he claimed to have had a Hindu guru.

Navratri 2019 हिंदू धर्म में बेहद महत्वपूर्ण है। नवदुर्गा नौ दिनों का त्योहार है। नवरात्रि साल में दो बार मनाई जाती है। जिसे शारदीय नवरात्रि और चैत्र नवरात्रि कहा जाता है। नवरात्रि भारत के उत्तरी राज्यों सहित अधिकांश क्षेत्रों में बहुत धूमधाम से मनाया जाता है। इस दिन, भक्त 2 दिनों के लिए जल्दी से आते हैं और माँ की चौकी स्थापित करते हैं।

Navratri के दो दिनों को पवित्र माना जाता है। इन दिनों घरों में लहसुन, प्याज, मांस और शराब से परहेज किया जाता है। जब शारदीय नवरात्रि, महाष्टमी, महानवमी, दुर्गा पूजा, दशहरा, विजयादशमी 2019- तिथि और तिथि कैलेंडर नवरात्रि शुक्ल पक्ष की प्रतिपदा से नवमी तक पहचानी जाती है।

शारदीय नवरात्रि को महानवरात्रि कहा जाता है। दशहरा मनाया जाता है। हिंदू शास्त्रों के अनुसार, दशहरे के दिन, मां दुर्गा ने महिषासुर का वध किया और भगवान राम ने लंका के राजा रावण की हत्या की।

  1. अखंड ज्योति

नवरात्रि ज्योति घर और परिवार में शांति का प्रतीक है। इसलिए, यह आवश्यक है कि आप नवरात्रि पूजा की शुरुआत से पहले देसी घी का दीपक जलाएं। यह आपके आवास की नकारात्मक ऊर्जा को कम करने में मदद करता है और भक्तों के बीच मानसिक संतुष्टि को बढ़ाता है।

2.जौ बुवाई

नवरात्रि में घर में  की जाती है। यह माना जाता है कि जौ दुनिया की पहली फसल थी, इस प्रकार इसे हवन में भी चढ़ाया जाता है। वसंत ऋतु में आने वाली जौ भी पहली फसल है, जो चैत्र नवरात्रि के दौरान देवी को अर्पित की जाती है।

3. नया दिन भोग (9 बार प्रसाद)

प्रत्येक दिन एक देवी का प्रतिनिधित्व किया जाता है और प्रत्येक देवी को कुछ भेंट के साथ एक प्रसाद प्रदान किया जाता है। सभी नौ दिवसीय देवी-देवताओं के लिए नौ प्रकार के भोग इस प्रकार हैं:

Day 1: Banana (केले)

Day 2: Desi Ghee produced from cow’s milk (देसी घी गाय के दूध से बने)

Day 3: Salted butter (नमकीन मक्खन)

Day 5: Kheer or milk ( खीर या दूध)

Day 6: Goods Poa (माल पोआ)

Day 7: Honey (शहद)

Day 8: jaggery or coconut (गुड़ या नारियल)

Day 9: Paddy Pudding (धान का हलवा)

4. दुर्गा सप्तशती दुर्गा सप्तशती शांति, समृद्धि, धन और शांति का प्रतीक है और नवरात्रि के 9 दिनों में दुर्गा सप्तशती का पाठ करना सबसे शुभ प्रयास माना जाता है ।

5 नौ दिनों तक नौ रंग शुभ और जुलूस के दौरान, लोग नवरात्रि के पूरे नौ दिनों में नौ अलग-अलग रंग पहनते हैं:

Day 5: yellowish
Day 6: Blue

6. कन्या पूजन कन्या पूजन एजेंटों (कन्या) की स्तुति करके मां दुर्गा को अलविदा कहने की आपकी विधि है। उन्हें फूल, इलायची, फल, सुपारी, मिठाई, श्रृंगार की वस्तुएं, वस्त्र, घर का बना भोजन (विशेषकर: हलवा, काला चना और पूड़ी) चढ़ाने की प्रथा है।

अनुष्ठान के कुछ विशेष नियमबहुत सारे भक्त निचे दिए गए अनुष्ठानों का पालन करते हैं:

  1. प्रार्थना और उपवास चैत्र नवरात्रि समारोह का प्रतीक है। त्योहार के आरंभ होने से पहले, अपने घर में देवी का स्वागत करने के लिए घर की साफ सफाई करते हैं।
  2. सात्विक जीवन व्यतीत करते हैं। भूमि शयन करते हैं। सात्त्विक आहार करते हैं।
  3. उपवास करते वक्त सात्विक भोजन जैसे कि आलू, कुट्टू का आटा, दही, फल, आदि खाते हैं।
  4. नवरात्रि के दौरान, भोजन में सख्त समय का अनुशासन बनाए रखते हैं और अपने व्यवहार की निगरानी भी करते हैं, जैसे की
  • अस्वास्थ्यकर खाना (Junk Food) नहीं खाते।
  • सत्संग करते हैं।
  • ज्ञान सूत्र से जुड़ते हैं।
  • ध्यान करते हैं।
  • चमड़े का प्रयोग नहीं करते हैं।
  • क्रोध से बचे रहते हैं।
  • कम से कम 2 घंटे का मौन रहते हैं।
  • अनुष्ठान समापन पर क्षमा प्रार्थना का विधान है तथा विसर्जन करते हैं।
