Happy Republic Day

Republic Day has been celebrated in India every year on January 26, since 1950, to honor the date India’s Constitution came into effect. Republic Day is also known as R- Day public holiday. The Constitution of India, which was embraced by the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949, was abolished on January 26, 1950. Indian’s was ruled by the Britishers for over 200 years and became independent from the British Raj rule following the Indian independence movement.

It is a national holiday that immortalizes the establishment of India’s Constitution. India got independence on August 14, 1947; at that time, India didn’t have a constitution, and Indian laws were based on the British established Government of India Act 1935.

On this Republic Day Parade is organize. It gets started from the Rashtrapati Bhavan gates and ends at India Gate. It also cover forth India’s defense capabilities, cultural and social heritage, and puts the diversity of the country in the limelight. The parade shows festivals according to the state wise.

Happy Lohri

Lohri is the most important festival in north India. Sikhs and Hindus celebrate it. The festival means the end of winter and harvesting of the rabi crops. It comes every year on January 13. The first Lohri is considered very special for a newborn baby and newly married bride. They celebrate Lohri on a large scale because it the biggest festival of Punjabis.

Lohri Significance

For Punjab people, the festival of Lohri holds great significance as it marks the beginning of the harvest season of Rabi crops and the end of the winter season. It is celebrated by preparing a huge bonfire that symbolizes the Sun is bringing in warmth.

Lohri holds great importance as it marks the harvesting of the Rabi crops and winter days. The people pray to the Sun and the fire and thank them for the excellent harvest. All communities observe the day with different names.

Shirdi Shri Sai Baba Images Sai Baba is, also called Sai Baba of Shirdi, born 1838 died on October 15, 1918.

The name Sai Baba comes from sai, a Persian word used by Muslims to denote a holy person, and baba, Hindi for father.

Sai Baba’s early years are a mystery. Most accounts mention his birth as a Hindu Brahman and his subsequent adoption by a Sufi fakir, or mendicant. Later in life he claimed to have had a Hindu guru.

Sai Baba arrived in Shirdi, in the western Indian state of Maharashtra, about 1858 and remained there until his death in 1918.
