How to make Voter Id corrections?

ECI’s online portal, National Voters’ Service Portal, offers each service associated with voters ID card. Go on the link to fill the Form 8.

Steps make in Voter Id corrections: 

Step 1:  Log in to the https://nvsp.in/

Step 2: On the homepage, click on ‘Form 8’ wizard.

Step 3: A new window will open where on the right side of the top you will have the option to choose the language. Currently, you can use NVSP in Hindi, English, and Malayalam.

Step 4: Choose the state, Parliamentary/assembly constituency, and district. Fill your name. Enter the part number of the electoral roll and the serial number of electoral roll. Tick on the options (Like Name, My Photograph, Address, etc) in which you want to make corrections.

Step 5: Fill the proper details that you would like to own in your voter card

Step 6: Upload documents: For example, forgetting age-corrected, you may upload proof of age such as your School Board Examination Result Certificate. For proving correct residence, give proof of residence like electricity bill, etc. Aadhaar card can also be submitted.

Step 7: Finally, enter the Captcha code and click on on the ‘Submit Button’

Done! You will get a reference number here and it can be used to check the progress of your request.

You can seek details on your registration status by logging into the Election Commission’s website https://www.nvsp.in/Forms/Forms/trackstatus.

It will need to provide your reference ID for the same or you can call the 1950 helpline for any confusion related to your enrollment.

 

In how many days Voter Id card get corrected through Form 8?

You can expect it to require around thirty days to receive a replacement voter ID card with updated data. Form 8 is that the application for corrections of explicit details on the electoral roll.
After you download the applying form, make changes and submit it, you can ready to see the changes within the next voter’s list.

  1. You need a passport-sized photograph.
  2. One Residence proof document such as (Bank Passbook, Ration Card, Indian Passport, Driving License, Income tax assessment order, etc.
  3. One age proof document such as ( Birth Certificate, Indian Passport, PAN card, Driving License, Aadhar letter issued by UIDAI and the passed 10th class Marksheet of class 10th)

  1. The minimum age of the applicant should be 18 or 18+.
  2. Applicants should ensure details like spelling of their name, date of birth, address and so on are correct.
  3. They should be of sound mind, free of criminal charges and not financially bankrupt

  5. Applicants should only apply for voter ID solely through government or government-approved websites and centers

1. You can also enroll offline. Fill 2 copies of Form 6. This form is also available free of price in offices of Electoral Registration Officers / Assistant Electoral Registration Officers and Booth Level Officers.

2. The application among the copies of the relevant documents is filed in person before the involved Electoral Registration Officer / Assistant Electoral Registration Officer or sent by post

addressed to him or can be handed over to the Booth Level Officer of your polling area.

How to Apply For Voter ID Online

On the National Voters Services Portal (NVSP) website (www.nvsp.in/), select ‘Apply online for registration of new voter/due to shifting from AC’ on the homepage.

When Form number 6 is displayed, choose your State, District and Legislative Assembly or Parliamentary Constituency, which will be displayed in a drop-down menu. After this step is done, you must fill in your personal details.

Upload the mandatory documents, and submit the form. Failure to upload all documents will lead to the rejection of your application.

For verification, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit your home. They may also interact with those around you for the purpose of verification. Once verification is complete, you will receive your Voter ID within a week.

How to Apply For Voter ID Semi- Online

 

The applicant must begin by visiting the national voter’s service portal (NSVP) website www.nvsp.in/.

Download ‘form 6’ and fill the form with relevant details. Submit the finished form 6 along with a photograph and supporting documents at an Election office close to you by either post or in person.
